For Adoption

The Foster Home
Welcome to The Foster Home, the not-for-profit site dedicated to making better pets and better pet owners. As the name implies, we do take some foster animals, including dogs, cats and exotics. However, we are not a shelter! We take a select few animals and work with them individually, one day at a time, offering top veterinary care and behavioral modification while they stay at our home. Right now we have 4 rescue dogs, 2 exotic birds, 6 rescue cats, 2 ferrets, a rabbit, 2 bearded dragons, and an ornate horned frog. We have 1 female cat and 1 kitten for adoption at the present time.

In addition, we provide links to information pertaining to the care and maintainance of a variety of dogs, cats, reptiles, arachnids, exotic birds, amphibians, ferrets, and many other exotics. There are also some rescue listing available for those of you who are like us- caught in the shuffling of leftovers from the pet industry. We hope to soon have a list of local shelters in need of volunteers or foster homes like us.

Please contact us if you have any comments or suggestions. We like recieving more information to link the site to things that may be of help to our visitors

Helping Make Better Pet Owners We welcome your questions regarding just about anything. If we cannot help you, we will help you find the information or contacts you need. Particular areas of interest and experience for us are companion bird behavior modification, husbandry and ownership, bearded dragon husbandry, and co-existence with many species in the same household. We will try to answer as many emails as we can a day. Please be patient if we don't get back to you right away, we are still building the site in addition to working full time, taking care of our many companions and running a household.

This Site IS NOT Intended as a Substitute for Veterinary CareWe just want to help make a better connection between humans and animals. If you have a medical concern about your pet, please consult your veterinarian. There is no substitute for professional veterinary care.
